Bartolomeo (Bertie) Corvi arrived in Bo’ness in 1909 and learned the trade of art of making ice cream at the shop of Antonio Ferrari at North Street, Bo’ness.
He married Rosie Anna Maria Ferrari in Italy in 1913.
He set up the Seaview Cafe with his wife in 1937.
Bertie died in 1963, aged 70.
The current manager is Marie-Ellena Corvi. She is the fifth generation of the Corvi family to have run the business.
