Robert was born in 1841 in Greenock, the son of Robert McCreath and Barbara Jamieson.
He died on 26 MAY 1915 in Burton on Trent.
His wife was Isabella Laidlaw, who he married on 1 DEC 1865 in Glasgow. Their nine known children were Rober (1866-1938), Alic (1867-1945), John ("Jack" (1869-1929), Thoma (1870-1923), Barbara (1872-1891), Isabell (1875-1958), William Jame (1880-1941), Agnes (1882-1883) and Andre (1882-1939).
