Alexander was born on 23 OCT 1884 in Low Drummore, the son of James McLean and Jane Agnew.
He died on 28 FEB 1967 in Glasgow.
His wife was Georgina Torrance, who he married on 26 SEP 1907 in Pollokshields, Glasgow. Their five known children were Alexande (1908-1990), Jame (1910-1974), William (1914-1915), Georgina Torrance (Ina (1917-?) and Jane Agnew (Jean) (1921-2007).
