Following disbandment, the legacy business matters of the Cameronians (SR) were conducted by a group of Trustees.
These were:

The Regimental Collection of artefacts and archives was placed in the ownership of South Lanarkshire Council (SLC).
The Regimental Trust was wound up in 2015 and all formal links with the Trust and the Regiment ended. It was then advised that any questions regarding the Regiment, or anyone who served in it, should thereafter be addressed to SLC at the `Museum’
Ex Cameronians, and their families still wishing to take part in commemorative and other events continued so to do.
Today, the main vehicle for organising group events and activities is the Association Its monthly meetings provide a potent two-way communication channel between its members and the wider public – and also other regimental associations, including the Glasgow Highlanders.
