Date: Mid 1960s
Original Location: East of Elliot Street between Argyle Street and Houldsworth (and south of Breadalbane Street).
Description: A family of three concrete moulded hippopotami.
Removed from site for restoration in 2018 by Collective Architecture for Sanctuary Housing Association, replicas were returned to the original site later in the same year.
Collective are working with artist Toby Paterson who has been engaged to produce a series of ‘integrated interventions’ within the new buildings and urban spaces of the redevelopment.
