Description: Cast in bronze, it is located inside Partick rail and subway station. GI Bride was a character from Bud Neill’s Lobey Dosser cowboy strip which ran in the Evening Times in the 1950s. It is a companion piece to the Lobey Dosser two-legged equestrian piece in Woodlands Road. Like many real-life Scottish women, the fictional bride married a GI and followed him to America, only to discover disappointment.
