Sculpture: Dhruva Mistry

Date: 1995

Location: Hillhead Street at entrance to Hunterian Museum.

Description: This bronze sculpture, at the entrance to the Hunterian Museum in Hillhead Street, is a semi-abstract representation of a seated mother and child. The tube-like limbs form a structural arrangement reminiscent of a chair. It was commissioned by the Hunterian Art Gallery to celebrate Glasgow’s 1990 designation as European City of Culture.
