Giovanni Battista Visocchi (1832-1926) married (i) Porzia Nardone (1838-1878) & (ii) Angela Jannetta (1844-1912)

Giovanni Battista Visocchi was born on 13 November 1832 in Atina, Frosinone.

According to his son Pietrangelo’s death certificate, Giovanni Battista Visocchi was a ‘General Merchant’. On his son Angelo’s certificate, he is described as a ‘Farmer and Grain Merchant’.

Giovanni Battista Visocchi married Porzia Nardone. Porzia was born in Casalattico in 1838

Giovanni and Porzia had five children: Pietrangelo Visocchi (1866), Luigi Gabriele Visocchi (1868), Serafino Fortunato Visocchi (1869), Angelo Visocchi (1872), Mariangela Visocchi (1877).

Following the death of Porzia Nardone on 14 November 1878. Giovanni married Angela Jannetta. She was born in 1844 at Belmonte Castello.

Giovanni and Angela had two sons: Giuseppe Visocchi (1883) and Michele Visocchi (1886}.

Five of Giovanni Battista Visocchi’s children emigrated from Italy to Scotland. The four sons of Giovanni Battista Visocchi and Porzia Nardone, and their half-brother, Michele by Giovanni’s second marriage to Angela Jannetta.

Angela Visocchi (ms Jannetta) died in 1912. Giovanni Battista died in 1926.
