Sir John Neilson Cuthbertson School

 

The school was designed by James Miller and opened in 1906. Sir John Neilson Cuthbertson, for whom the school was named, was Chairman of the Glasgow School Board between 1885 and 1903.

Condition in 2018: The school remains in daily use by Glasgow City Council as Cuthbertson Primary and Nursery Class.

All of Cuthbertson Primary School, including the janitor’s lodge, playground walls and gatepiers, is B-listed.

In 2017 Glasgow City Council announced a £1-9 million make-over.

The £1.9m will be spent on new roofing, drainage, stonework and fresh windows.

Inside there will be new toilets and the internal decoration will be spruced up with new flooring to finish the job.
