James McCreath, a Stonemason, married Annie Anderson Gardner on 1 June 1901 at Cathcart. They had three children:
(1) Thomas McCreath (1901-??) emigrated to the USA where he married Lillian Masterman (c. 1900-1986).

(2) Annie Campbell McCreath (1906-??) married Andrew McMath Fletcher (1889-??) at Blythswood, Glasgow on 16 October 1931.
They had a son, Andrew McMath Fletcher, believed to have been born on 6 May 1932 at Cathcart, Glasgow. (To be verified when Covid-19 restrictions end). The family emigrated to the USA

(3) Gilbert James McCreath (1914-1975) married Dorothy Mary Jenkins (1914-2006)
Gilbert and Dorothy had a son, James Gardner McCreath born 1939.
James married twice. First to Irene June Tighe on 24 June 1961, and then to Constance Witherspoon, born 1952, on 25 June 1986.
James and Irene had a daughter, Joyce McCreath, born 13 October 1964. Joyce and her partner, David Cummings. have three children:
Claire Jane Cummings born 19 December 1990
Laura Ashleigh Cummings born 1 December 1992
Garry Alan Cummings born 28 September 1995.
James Gardner McCreath died on 8th December 2020 (non Covid-related).
His grandson, Garry Allan Cummings contacted me to pass on the news of his Grandfather’s death and to inform me of new twigs on his branch of the family. (Yet to be added.
In 2000 I corresponded with James Gardner McCreath and in 2002 with Joyce McCreath. Sadly, thereafter we lost touch.
