Sydney William McCreath (1922-2003) married (i) Jean Van-Niekirk and (ii) Anita De Haas

Sydney William McCreath was born in Pretoria on 14 March 1922.

He was a Judge of the Transvaal Provincial Division of the South African Supreme Court.

He married Jean Van-Niekirk with whom he had a son and a daughter:

Glenn Leaver McCreath born 27 April 1953. Wife Ann.

Laurie Jean McCreath born 26 November 1954.

Sydney later married Anita De Haaas. They had two sons:

Arnold Sydney McCreath born 15 September 1963. Married Elsabe Malherbe. Lives at Somerset West.

Robert William McCreath born 26 January 1966. Married Haneen Kuhn.

Anita , a widow, had three children from her first marriage to Richard Monnig:

Louise Monnig

Nico Monnig

My wife, Gina met Sydney and Anita in Somerset West in 2002. Sydney’s tragic death in 2003 put a stop to mutually hoped-for further meetings. Sydney and I developed an instant rapport.
