In many ways, Alloway Kirkyard is more interesting than the kirk itself. The resting place of our McCreath ancestor, William McCreath, is close-by the grave of Robert Burns’ father, William Burnes (though the stone uses the spelling of the family name preferred by the Bard and his brother).
