Robert McCreath was born on 17 March 1883 at Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. He was an Insurance Agent and owner of a Coal Extraction Business.
Robert died on 31 August 1958 in Eagles Mere, Sullivan County, Pennsylvania.
He married Anna Margaretta Fleming.
(1) Suzanna McCreath born 7 August 1917, Pennsylvania. Married John Carter, an Investment Counsellor. John and Suzanna had a son, Robert McCreath Carter (b. 19 Oct 1960), owner of a business in safety and injury prevention. Married twice. First, in 1985, to Nicole Anne Lezin (b. 5 May 1962) and secondly, on 28 Oct 1995 at Atlanta, Georgia to Christina Beth Jacobson (b. 26 Dec 1968, Ackron Ohio). Christine was a Professor of History.
Robert and Christine had two children:
• Susanna Jacobson Carter b 15 April 1997, Ackron, Ohio.
• Frederick Jacobson Carter born 24 October 1999, Ackron, Ohio.
(2) Margaretta McCreath born 12 September 1918. A Landscape Designer, she died in Harrisburg on 15 September 1940 of a skull fracture sustained as a result of an automobile accident
(3) Mary McCreath born 2 July 1921, Harrisburg. Married Frederick Augustus Godley on 10 June 1942. Frederick was the owner of a valve making business.
Frederick and Mary had four children:
• Margaretta (Gretta) Godley born 26 September 1944, Harrisburg. Gretta, a School Teacher/ Editorial Research Assistant died on 1 January 1999. Unmarried?
• Robert McCreath (Mac) Godley born 7 November 1946, Harrisburg. ‘Mac’, an Architect, married Ros Christison,an Artist. No known issue
• Elizabeth (Betsy) McMurtrie Godley born 17 September 1949, Stanford, Connecticut. Betsy, a Farm Veterinarian, Married James Sargent (b. 15 Jul 1949), A Lawyer. Two children, both born in Philadelphia: Katherine Chilcott Sargent born 25 May 1982 and Peter Franchot Sargent born 14 August 1984.
• Frederick (Rick) Augustus Godley born 22 October 1954, Stanford, Connecticut. rick an Oto-rhino-laryngologist married Mary Kathleen Carney, a Dermatologist on 21May 1998. They have three children all born in Providence, Rhode Island: Frederick Augustus (Gus) Godley IV born 2 October 1991, Margot Carney Godley born 24 November 1993 and William Monroe Godley born 25 November 1997.
