Robert McCreath married Minnie Theodora Walker Jarvie on 8 October 1927 in Airdrie. They had one son, Robert Strang McCreath. Robert died in 1980 at Peebles.
Robert Strang McCreath (1927- ) married Elizabeth Thomson Cunningham Aithie in Edinburgh on 14 September 1968. They had a son, Ross Stewart McCreath.
Ross Stewart McCreath (1969- ) married Louise Alice Purvis. Children – Ben Harry Robert McCreath (2004-2006) and Zoe Summer McCreath (2008- ). Tragically , Ben died as a result of injuries sustained in a fall in the Princes Exchange Building in Edinburgh, age 21 months.
