John Grieve McCreath(1888-1937) married Sarah Eaglesham (1891-1935) in 1915 in Ayr
They had three children – all born in Scotland:
Robert McCreath born about 1917, Scotland. Died Montreal
Charlotte McCreath born 1 February 1919, Scotland (died 26 Sep,1978 Montreal.
John McCreath born 1922, Scotland. No further details.
The entire family of five emigrated to Canada on 16 March 1923 aboard the Saturnia, bound for Maine via Halifax/ Portland , Maine. John’s occupation was given as a Gardener.
It is believed that John may been involved in the design and construction of Floral Clock at Westmount Park on Montreal Island.
John Grieve McCreath died in Monreal, Quebec on 19 December 1937.
His daughter, Charlotte McCreath married Douglas Haines Moffat (1915-2002). Charlotte died in Montreal on 26 September 1978. No known Issue.
