James Preston McCreath was born about 1874. His parents were Robert and Talitha McCreath.
He married Mary Elizabeth Park (ms Barber) at Carroll, Iowa on 25 October 1899. No known issue but he had a step-daughter, Mary Park
In 1910 he was Grocery Store Delivery Man at Carroll. In 1924, a Labourer at Council Bluffs, Iowa.
In 1934 James and Mary moved to Hileah, Florida – to be near their daughter, Mary. James became a gate attendant at the Hialeah race track.
Elizabeth died on 24 February 1943 at Hialeah. She was buried at West Lawn Cemetery, Glidden, Carroll County, Iowa. Robert married Rilla Smith, who also preceded him in death.
Robert died on 12 April 1957 at Hialeah, Miami-Dade County, Florida. He too was buried at West Lawn Cemetery.
