Peter Leith McCreath was educated at Dalhousie University and Queen’s University, Kingston. He served with the Royal Canadian Artillery in WW2. After the War, he joined Sears Ltd. and spent 32 years in the furniture business, retiring in 1978. He met his future wife, when he was a law student at Dalhousie (never finished because of the war).
Peter Leith McCreath married Harriette Cary Shatford in 1940.
They had three children:

Andrew Shatford McCreath born 1956
Peter Leith McCreath died in 1993. His wife Harriette in 2009 (Click here for Harriette’s Obituary Notice.)
Their daughter, Diana – married but did not have children. She was a talented pianist and had studied at the Julliard Conservatory in New York. She died of cancer in 1994. She is interred with her parents.
