Our progenitor is David McCreath who married Agnes Clerk. Their names are listed in the Maybole Parish Register as the parents of Marion McCreath, John McCreath, James McCreath and David McCreath.
1.1 Marion McCreath married David Arthur. They had six children. Details can be found in The Parish Registers and in Kirkmichael Parish burial inscriptions. To date this branch has not been researched.
1.2 John McCreath (1716-??) married Isabel CUNNINGHAM. They had ten known children.
1.3 James McCreath (1718- ??). No biographical information for James has been found.
1.4 David McCreath married Helen Hutcheson on 2 December 1742. They had four known children.
