Following closure in 1968, a number of efforts were made to re-purpose the building.
For some time part of the former creamery was used as a dealership for Aprilia, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer. At is peak it employed some 40 people.
In 2003 an attempt was made to re-etablish a scooter and motorbike distribution business.
Despite efforts to market the site as a business centre, the building now lies derelict. The following photos were taken in August 2020.
