The 7th Battalion of the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles), and its brother the 6th, formed part of the 156th Infantry Brigade, one of the three Brigades of the 52nd (Lowland) Division. The Division was the sole, completely Territorial Division to fight in the Second World War.

7th Battalion, Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) (from 14 March 1945)

Early in the War each Brigade also contained an Anti-Tank Company though these were disbanded on 7 January 1941.
