Sadly, all contact with this branch of the family was lost until November 2022 when a most welcome and totally unexpected e-mail arrived from James (Jim) Munro – Hugh and Jessie’s grandson , and my second cousin !
Jim moved to Torquay , Devon. He is married to Margaret McBride. They have 4 sons – Jamie, Barry, Ross and Callum. All live in Torbay.
Jim confirmed that Hugh and Jessie lived in Penilee. Ironically in Gledoch Road – just round the corner from my late wife’s Aunt Mary. Hugh was a chauffeur when he moved to Glasgow.
