Visit to GRO, Edinburgh on 22 March 2017

Visited GRO in Edinburgh yesterday (22 March 2007) primarily to provide details with which to  identify living relatives of three families:

1. Relatives of Margaret McCreath (1844-1917), the ninth of the fourteen children of William McCreath and Margaret Crichton, who married Thomas William Glen. A member of this family Mary Crichton ‘Molly’ Glen is credited with being the drafter of the ‘Old Tree’.
2. Relatives of John McCreath (1837-1882), the second of the nine children of Robert McCreath and Barbara Jamieson, partner of (i) Margaret Forrester and (ii) wife of Mary Robertson
3. Relatives of Ann McCreath (1839-1923) , third child of Robert McCreath and Barbara Jamieson, who married Alexander McDonald.
