POPULAR BRIDE AND GROOM.

A wedding took place in St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Blairgowrie, yesterday of Mr Harry George Quinn, eldest son of the late ex-Baillie Quinn and of Mrs Quinn, Tullyawa, Reform Street, and Miss Loreta Visocchi, Leslie Street, Blairgowrie. The young couple are well known and popular in the district, and the ceremony was witnessed by a large congregation.

The officiating clergyman was Rev. James Quinn, St Joseph’s, Dundee (a brother of the bridegroom) assisted by Rev. W. R.  Stretch, St Stephen’d, Blairgowrie. The marriage ceremony was followed by the impressive Nuptial Mass.  The sanctuary was exquisitely decorated with flowers. Appropriate music was played by Miss Rita Morrison.

The bride wore a lovely gown of ivory georgette embroidered with pearls. The left side of the gown was held by a trail of orange blossom and white heather. Her veil, of silk net, with white heather knots was held by a coronal of orange blossom and white heather, and her bouquet was composed of pink and white carnations.

The bridesmaid was Miss Louise Jannetta, St Andrews ( a cousin of the bride), who wore a charming dress of ppowder-blue georgette and a blue net veil instead of a hat. Her bouquet was of bronze chrysanthemums. Miss Sheila Timmons, Denny, the bridesmaid’s niece, who wore a becoming dress of pale blue crepe de chine, acted as train-bearer. The duties of groomsman were carried by Mr Felix Quinn, brother of the bridegroom.

After the ceremony a large company of guests were entertained at luncheon in the Queen’s Hotel, where the health of the bride and bridegroom were proposed by the Rev. W. R. Stretch.  When the young couple left for their honeymoon the bride wore a smart costume of mole-coloured cloth trimmed with mole fur, mole fur hat, and a jade green motoring veil.
