Margaret Cecelia Louisa McCreath was born in York, Ontario on 27 November 1908.
She married Walter Eric Darby on 14 October 1933 at Halifax, Nova Scotia. Walter served for some thirty years as a Judge in the Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island. He was also an elected politician in the Province.
They had four children:
Peter Darby born c. 1934: he became a lawyer and Professor of Law at Dalhousie University.
Bess Darby born??. Married twice. Two sons and a daughter. Daughter
Cecelia Darby born Prince Edward Island in 1940. Also married twice.
Isabel Darby born ??. Married with two daughters. Live in Halifax
