Location: Govan Road at Elder Street.

Description: Two copper arches, one balanced on top of the other, crowned by four black cormorants placed symmetrically on the curves. The birds are made of a combination of scrap metal from the then adjacent Kvaerner Govan shipyard (chain links, steel rope, nuts and bolts).

The work is one of nine Glasgow ‘Milestones’ that were sited throughout the city by the end of September 1994, following  the city’s 1990 ‘Year of Culture’,
