In 1911, William John McCreath married Daisy Gray Wright in Geelong, Victoria – a city southwest of Melbourne. William and Daisy had a daughter, Marie Thelma McCreath, born 1913 in Geelong. Marie was also a key correspondent in documenting her branch.
Marie married Reginald Ernest Hodges in Mildura, Victoria in 1935. Reginald was a car salesman, and later a garage proprietor.
They had four children:
Leora Janette (Lee) Hodges born 21 May 1939
Gayle Marguerite Hodges born 27 September 1942
Geoffrey Reginald Hodges born 15 July 1946.

Reginald Ernest Hodges died in 1984. He was survived by Marie.
