It is believed that the first cafe in this location was opened in 1920.
It has been run by the same family since 1940.
Americo Raso bought the cafe from his great uncle in 1961 when the interior was revamped. To this day the decor dates back to this time; a piece of retro history.
Americo’s daughter, Sofia, married Domenico Demarco in 1985. They took over the business from Americo. Americo died in 2012, age 77.
The business was put up for sale in August 2017. Location 33 Langside Place.
