William Leonard McCreath was a Solicitor with Sanderson, Scott and Edney, Berwick-upon Tweed.
He married Margaret (Margot) Cruden Buglass (born 19 June 1922, Berwick-upon-Tweed)
They had two children:
(1) Duncan McCreath born Berwick, 28 June 1941
(2) Ian Gordon McCreath born Newcastle-upon-Tyne, 24 November 1944.
Margaret passed away on 10 January 2002 at Berwick-upon-Tweed. William Leonard in February 2007 in Suffolk.

(1) Duncan McCreath, a Chartered Surveyor, married Mary Margaret Gatherer on 4 September 1971 at Greenock, Renfrewshire. Mary (born 21 November 1943, Greenock) was a Schoolteacher.
Duncan and Mary had two children:
• Fiona Mary McCreath born 25 August 1972, Edinburgh. Fiona a Human Resources Management Consultant. She married Matthew Gordon Kelleher (born 12 May 1974, Farnborough, Kent), also a Management Consultant, on 27 May 2000 at Dirleton, East Lothian. Both Fiona and Matthew were MA graduates.
They have a son, Finlay Denis Kelleher, born in London on 6 March 2004.
• Lucy Jane McCreath born 21 August 1974, Edinburgh. Fiona a BSc graduate became a School Teacher. She married Matthew John Wallard (born 26 June 1974, Guildford, Surrey. William is a Surgeon.

(2) Ian Gordon McCreath born 24 November 1944, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Ian, a Solicitor and Coroner, married Christine Anne Stracey (born 18 April 1948, Newcastle) 0n 16 May 1970. Christine was an Interior Designer.
in 1997, Ian Gordon McCreath was awarded an MBE for services to the community in Berwick-upon-Tweed.
Ian and Christine had three children:
• Emma Victoria McCreath born 19 January 1972, Hong Kong. Emma, a School Teacher, married Martin George Kay Hamilton on 8 August 1998 at Norham, Northumberland. Martin (born 19 March 1972, Hong Kong) was also a School Teacher. They have a daughter, Flora Jorva Hamilton born 15 May 2002 at Ipswich.
