Lesley McCreath, Jnr. married Dorothy (Dottie) Maxey on 14 March 1942.
Lesley (Lel) served during World War II in the Navy in the Atlantic and Pacific theatres,
After the war Dottie and Lel lived in New Jersey, Illinois and New York until Lel’s retirement in 1966, when they moved into the McCreath family home along the Susquehanna River at Fort Hunter, Pennsylvania.
They had a daughter, Wendy McCreath born 29 August 1944, Washington, DC.
Wendy married Graham Godfrey Argent-Belcher, an Electronic Engineer.
They had two children –
Catheren Christine Argent-Belcher and Elizabeth Suzanne Belcher. Both daughters married and each has two daughters.I corresponded with Lesley McCreath from 1997 till his death in 2003. It was Lesley who sent me a copy of the Old Tree. Sadly we never met.
