Thomas McCreath of Blairstoun (later called Blairstone Mains farm) married his cousin, Mary McCreath, around 1762.
It is from this marriage that I am descended, being a great-great-great great grandson of Thomas and Mary.
Thomas and Mary lived at Pinmore Farm on the road from Maybole to Ayr, where the first five of their children were born.
They had 10 children, 7 of whom are known to have survived to adulthood

David McCreath (1781-1851)
Hugh McCreath (1783-??) Nothing is known of him, so it is presumed he died young.
