James McCreath was both a Telegraph Engineer in Nigeria and an Inventor. His inventions included a 3D cinema screen (A System of Stereoscopic Projection. British Patent 6 May 1933 for projection of still and/or moving pictures adverts and the like.) and “INDICTA” an automatic signalling device for railway stations. (Patent in US for Indicating Devices for Vehicles 16 Feb 1932 – 1949.)

The patent was ‘stolen’ by the General Electric Company. James was bankrupted as a consequence of fighting the case. He died of malaria/pneumonia.

James McCreath married Mabel Ruth Barass. She was a Nursing Sister.

Mabel Eunice McCreath born 27 SEP 1927. Died 1987.  Married Robert, surname unknown. One child.

Margaret Beryl McCreath born 1 DEC 1929. Married John George Tulloch.
